Terms of Service
These terms cover use of this website and the general basis on which development services are provided. A signed project agreement always takes precedence for specific work.

This document is a general template provided for transparency. Items in square brackets are placeholders to be completed, and it has not been reviewed as legal advice for your jurisdiction.
01Services
Taaran Jain provides freelance software development and consulting services, including websites, web and mobile applications, AI integrations, automation and business systems. The exact scope of any engagement is defined in a written proposal or project agreement.
02User Responsibilities
When using this website or engaging services, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information in enquiries and during a project.
- Not misuse the website, including attempting to disrupt it, gain unauthorised access or send spam through its forms.
- Supply content, credentials and materials you have the right to use, and provide timely feedback and approvals.
03Project Agreements
Each project begins with a written proposal describing scope, milestones, timeline, cost and acceptance criteria. Work outside the agreed scope is handled through a written change request with its own estimate. If these terms conflict with a signed project agreement, the project agreement prevails.
04Payments
Payment schedules are set out in each proposal — typically an upfront deposit followed by milestone payments. Invoices are due within [Payment Terms] of issue. Work may be paused if invoices remain unpaid beyond the agreed terms.
05Intellectual Property
On full payment, you own the custom code and deliverables created specifically for your project, unless the project agreement states otherwise. Pre-existing tools, libraries, open-source components and general know-how remain with their respective owners and are licensed for use within your project.
06Deliverables
Deliverables are considered accepted when they meet the agreed acceptance criteria, or if no issues are reported within [Acceptance Period] of delivery. Defects reported during the agreed support window are fixed at no additional cost.
07Third-Party Services
Projects often depend on third-party platforms such as hosting providers, payment gateways, app stores and AI model providers. Their availability, pricing, policies and approval decisions are outside my control, and their fees are your responsibility unless agreed otherwise.
08Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, total liability arising from any engagement is limited to the fees paid for the specific work giving rise to the claim. There is no liability for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits, revenue or data.
09Termination
Either party may end an engagement with written notice as described in the project agreement. You pay for work completed up to the termination date, and you receive the deliverables produced for that work once payment is settled.
